She finished her championship at six months of age handled by our then fourteen year old son, Danny. Her half brother, Manny, was burning up the show rings as a puppy so she was left at home to mature. The following year, at fifteen months of age, she won BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES at the SAC Nat'l Specialty show in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Tenny earned her Canine Good Neighbour title with ease and exhibits an amazing intelligence coupled with a desire to please which will serve her well in the obedience ring in the future. She particularly enjoys the jumps and is a great retriever, often running around the house with a toy in her mouth hoping to entice someone into a game of 'fetch'.
Tenny has the shoulder layback and front that is so difficult to achieve in a Samoyed and it is matched with an equally strong rear and beautiful sidegait. We have great plans for her as a major corner stone in our breeding program and expect to see many 'super puppies' from her in the show rings over the next few years.
Her first litter (2 boys & 4 girls), sired by our "Manny" (GRAND CHAMPION BIS Ch.Vanderbilt's Man 'O War, CD CGN RE TT), has produced four champions and another one pointed with most of their wins as puppies. These puppies have made quite an impressive start by winning Best of Breeds in Canada and the USA. Painter is now an American Champion, Group First Winner with multiple group placings in the USA plus went on to win an Award of Merit at the Samoyed Club of America National Specialty fall 2007 and Madison has both her Can. and Am. Championship which includes a big FIVE point major at a specialty. Three have won Best Puppy in Group and Macy has a Best Puppy In Show while Menley has multiple Group Placings in Canada! Her second litter which was sired by "Fonzie" (BIS BISS Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's Playin' It Cool),three boys and three girls born June 21, 2006 have begun making their mark in the show ring. All six puppies are outstanding and are now in show homes with one finished her championship and the other five are pointed already. "Joe" had five points and a Best Puppy In Group before leaving for Denmark. Check back for news of his show results in Europe. His sister, "Rain", is with the same kennel (Cabaka) and has her first CAC towards her Danish championship with a big best of breed over 35 Samoyeds at her first outing. "Bodhi" who lives in Nova Scotia is pointed. "Lilac" came back to us in April 2008 and immediately made an impression by going BEST OF WINNERS at the Samoyed Assoc of Canada National Specialty May, 2008. "Lilac" and "Tennyson" are midway through their championship and have won Best of Breed along the way. Their sister,"Breeze", is also a Best of Breed winner plus made the cut in the working group.
