Spice finished her championship with seven Best of Breed and three Best Puppy In Group. She came back out and earned her C.D. in obedience in three straight trials winning Highest Scoring Samoyed In Trial at Dartmouth Kennel Club the day of the SAC National Specialty in May, 2004.
She had her first litter (and our first in fourteen years)in the spring of 2005 which was sired by Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt's True Lee. See THE BOYS link this page for pics of her sons "HOUSTON" (Ch. In September, 2007, we brought Spice out for a bit of fun at a Canine Good Neighbour test. She showed how much she missed the obedience training when I worked her a bit to warm her up for the test. She would do a perfect sit in heel position and then cock her head to one side and give a cute sneeze as if to make sure everyone noticed how clever she was. Needless to say, she passed the test without battign an eye and even did a three minute long stay with me out of sight even though she was not required to stay in that exact position. I am now wondering if she would like to play around a little more in obedience and add some Rally obedience titles to her credentials.
Spice is our spoiled brat who sleeps on the bed and washes our feet every night. She is also The Boss and easily keeps the other dogs in line, even herding them up the back steps if she thinks they are taking too long for their pee break.
An avid watch dog, she rests her elbows on the livingroom window sill and watches for hours to see if someone is out walking their dog down the road. I'm not so sure that this isn't a hint that she wants to go for a walk, too !
